CSDA Sundays: 'Makers Series' with Metalsmith Wesley Harris, RCA

Join the CSDA and one of Canada's leading metalsmiths Wesley Harris, RCA. In this 'Makers Series', Wesley will highlight two smithing techniques represented in the creation of his tea service (photographed here). Additionally, Mr. Harris will discuss nature as a source of inspiration and how it appears in his work. (Please note that this event will be recorded)
Biography:
Wesley Harris began silver work during high school. In 1981, he graduated with an MFA in Metalsmithing from Cranbrook Academy of Art. He worked as a commercial silver designer in the United States until 1986 and returned to Canada to begin his career as a freelance silversmith. In 2015, Wesley was inducted into the RCA (Royal Canadian Academy of Arts). Wesley currently lives and works in Cornerbrook, Newfoundland.
