Artist Tour at 8x7 with Karim Charlebois
Sunday, October 25, 2026, 12:00PM - 2:00PM ET In-person event at 8x7, Toronto, ON. 8×7 presents a public carving performance by Karim Charlebois alongside existing works. Charlebois will be situated at a carving station with a work-in-progress piece that he will carve every day of the show, letting the wood shavings accumulate on the floor. Charlebois states that "People are often captivated by the physical, handmade process, and the experimental nature of 8×7 gallery feels like the perfect environment for that kind of transparency." This tour will witness his performance, with a chance to directly ask the artist questions. 8×7 is an eight by seven meter place in Toronto dedicated to creative discourse in design. The gallery provides designers space for experimentation and risk-taking, critical aspects of the creative process that are rarely displayed. Through exhibitions, talks, and workshops, 8×7 engages with both emerging and established designers in Toronto and abroad.
